Trial Tools

OpenTofu is an open-source Infrastructure as Code tool forked from Terraform as a response to HashiCorp's switch from an open source license to the BUSL.

Timeline

  1. Trial Added to radar

    So far we have not experienced any incompatibility with Terraform providers, and we see that the major ones are already OpenTofu compliant. There is a risk however that there will be some compatibility issues going forward as these two tools will continue their development independently.

    But so far we have had great success with using OpenTofu in our projects, and would recommend this over Terraform for new projects.
